In 1980, Disney banned two young men from dancing at their Videopolis teen dance club in their Disneyland park. In the lawsuit the two young men later filed, they were told that the action leading to their band was “homosexual fast-dancing”(https://outhistory.org/exhibits/show/queer-youth-campus-media/facing-discrimination/dancing-at-disneyland). I first encountered this information in Defunctland’s excellent episode on Videopolis and laughed until I cried at the absurdity of the phrase.
